Musings at Nellai!

Wrapping up Nellai with its musings!!!

Here are some faces, some hard working people from Veerasigamani!

And on my way, my very colorful thong slippers gave up! I managed to find a cobbler!!!

Nellai, Ambasamudhram, Kovilpatti regions are known for the renewable energy production with windmills...

Somewhere on the way, I spotted the blue ASI board and stopped the vehicle to check out what's there. There was this megalithic burial cyst! However the locals have painted it white and have a [...]

Why and How to run a web app on Android

Why run a web app on Android you might ask.

When I am travelling my second phone is always on and is capturing data (time, gps, ODB via bluetooth etc). Along with mobile I would love to have a couple of ESP8266 /Sensor combo devices to capture data on the go. I don’t want them to have any storage. Instead they push data to the network. But while on the go internet is extremely patchy. So best option would be to store on a local server and sync when required.

ESP8266 knows to talk HTTP. So the [...]

Madagascar Lemurs at Tropikariet, Helsingborg

While I wait for my connecting flight at Amsterdam Schipol airport, let me tell you about a unique private zoo I visited some 7 weeks earlier- in Helsingborg, Sweden. Tropikariet as it is known, is a small indoor zoo. It is privately owned and maintained and houses some rare animals from different parts of the world. What is unique about this Tropikariet Zoo is the way visitors get to

Comparison of European Airlines-7 in 1

Over past 2 months, I have flown around a lot in Europe, mostly on short weekend trips from Copenhagen. In this process I had the opportunity to try several airlines. I flew 7 different Airlines , through 9 airports (within Europe only) totaling 15 take offs and landings. Below is a quick comparison of those airlines, for quick reference of those who might be planning short trips within Europe.

Nashik Kumbh 2015 with the Naga Babas: A Photo-story

Kumbh Mela 2015 at Nashik   (Nasik) is about to get over and with it  one  of the world's largest gathering of humankind will come to an end. Unfortunately, I missed going to Kumbh at Nashik due to work commitments, but I followed many  fantastic   photographers  and their work as they captured the  essence  of Kumbh though  their  lens.
One such  photographer  is Saify Naqvi,  whom I have known for a while as a fantastic photographer who [...]

My diary from aboard the Virgin Dreamliner

Prologue

Sunday, September 20, 2015, 5 am IST

On the way to Bangalore International Airport

It is the wee hours of the morning and there is a nip in the air. Most people would love to curl up on a Sunday morning and snore away until it was time for brunch, but I am up at 4 am. I am not a morning person, but my motto has been anything for travel. I am wide eyed and excited. In an hour I will be flying to Delhi to board a flight to London. And then I will be flying the most flamboyant, vibrant [...]

Modhera

Modhera located on the bank of river Pushpavati located at distance of around 102 kms of Ahmedabad . We had been to this place on the way to Ambaji during our tour of Gujarat state.
According to ancient epics this area in the ancient days was known by the name Dharmaranya. According to Ramayana, Lord Rama purified himself from the sin of killing a Brahmin.  In the 11th century the place was ruled by Solanki Dynasty.  The Sun Temple here is a architectural marvel that is worth a visit.

My top 3 wines from Spain

When you think of wine, you might think of France, or possibly Italy, you might even think of the bold wines from the Americas. However some people think of Spain, which is, believe it or not, the world’s third biggest producer of wine! It offers wines that are as fruity, dry, rich, and diverse and the country that creates them.
Here are three of the wonderful wines produced in this exceptional country.

Cava
Spain’s most popular fizzy wine, Cava, is made in the Catalonia region which is [...]

Green Bodycon Dress

I love Bling and there is no denying that. I wait eagerly for occasions where I can dress up in sequins and glitter. For our last casino party, I chose a green bodycon dress. Most sequined Bodycon dresses are slightly uncomfortable. I admit the last one i wore was check it out here . So I was hesitant when I picked this green bodycon dress from Zaful.com for a product review. My doubt was based on the fact that it was very reasonably priced so my expectations were really low about this green bodycon dress. [...]
